  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ah I'm in the same boat just bought a 90g used emporers on my other tanks will try 2 110s for sure this time. I hope my lfs sells them as I have 1000 dollars in credit. I would like to try a canister though too I have a toddler though maybe that's not a good idea?

I too have a 90 gallon. But i am running a canister filter (eheim pro 2026) along with a aquaclear 70. Should this combo of filters be enough?

Filters are really only catching debris mechanically, you really don't even need one, but u need adequate bio filtration, and using a pump to run gph thru the bio is what de tox the tank of ammonia and nitrites, so really its just preference, if u want ur tank super clean and crisp then add more, if its fine the way it is then leave it, its always a good idea to run 2 filters incase one fails.

My piranhas are so ridiculously messy that fx5 and ac110 barely cut it atm.

So stock, feeding schedule and volume are all something to consider when adding filtration.
