Well I have removed the top frame. taped the areas I dont want painted and applied my basic background of black. I do this because my tanks sits at an angle to a window and it keeps down algae blooms. New filters, background, and all other supplies should start arriving today! I am counting down the days until friday when the background arrives and construction can begin! I just had to post because I am getting amped up about all this! Just helps to let out some of the excitement to those who understand how i feel! haha

Well the new tank is up and running! I am at work and will post pics later. I have a few more things i have to do to get it looking the way i want it too!

After a week of trial, error and a bit of frustration I have completed this beauty! let me know what you guys think. I have 5 Reds and I got them about 5 weeks ago at the size of a quarter!

I love the way it looks, but how much room does the background take away from the tank? Looks like you are a sacrificing a lot of room for the background. Dont get me wrong it looks great.
