thanks bro. the body shape and tail is what i look at when trying to tell the two apart. fatf slender rounded torpedo shaped body. Tail has reddish tint on bottom half. Vittatus has deeper, more robust body with color on top and bottom part of tail. The vittatus is the more aggressive eater imo.

Interesting observations. Would you mind sharing pics of the two to give us some visual aids to these differences?
