90 Gallo suggestions

I have a 90 gallon, what are some suggestions for some chiclids? I am going towards a butterkoferi.

if you want a butti in a 90, you might have a single specimen tank

i agree but if you want to try some fish try either getting the butti smaller then the other fish or try something thats not shpaed like the butti like a pike or a mosiac gar , i have had success with these with a butti. You could also try if you get the butti big , try something real small , i had feeders in with my butti and he left them alone so maybe a school of carnidal tetras would look nice

a school of buenos aires tetras, as long as your not offended if a couple come up missing every once in a while

How about fronts?

I wouldn't do fronts with a butti, Frontosa are one of the more docile cichlids, it probably wouldn't fare well with such an aggressive fish. I have a 4" Jewel that PUNKS my 9" Alpha Front.

I mean just fronts.

Yea, Fronts are awesome, they grow to around 12-14" so you could house a small colony in a 90, 2 males and like 4 females.

You could also do a nice Peacock tank. You could probably put 10-12 peacocks in there, maybe even more.

Any idea on filtration, substrate. Here is what I got

90 Gallon with overflow
Oceanic Reef Ready Sump #2
Emperor 400
Corallife 3X UV Sterilizer
Small Natuaral gravel

Any ideas how to choose males from females? Or do I need to buy a bunch and pair them off.
