90 Gallon Progression Thread

Hmm.., maybe instead of spending close to $90 bucks for a filter that does 700 gph, I'll just get filter media for this empty AC110 thats sitting in my garage on my workbench. Now 1000gph in a 90g tank for a flowerhorn seems reasonable lol.
Anyone have suggestions on what to put inside the AC110 for filter media? I know many things are used..., opinions are welcomed!
Sponge, carbon, and the last is your choice. You can use that ammonia remover stuff, or more bio. I'd use ceramic rings or anything else to get more bio space!
*Got my color changing led light bulb for my aquarium and all I can say is WOW!
If anyone has a hanging incandescent bulb, I highly recommend you investing in one of these!
