Hi everyone I’m getting back into the hobby after many years away from it, my question is I’m thinking about a 90 gallon South American Cichlid community tank and was wondering if 2 Tidal 75 hob filters would be sufficient?
I’ve been watching and reading a lot about them and I’m liking what I’m seeing. I have a disability and think they’d be easier for me to maintain than a canister filterWelcome aboard
I'm not familiar with the Tidal HOB filter.

I plan on doing weekly water changes and possibly using a sponge filter also just to be able to have for a quarantine tank for nowIf you can perform water changes then I would say it's not just filtration. Water changes and filter maintenance all keep the fish healthy. I personally have different filters on my aquariums from sponge filters , HOB filters and a sump.
No thin layer of sand was my thoughtGoing straight hobs are you planning bare bottom?
One clear thing I love is the pump is mounted so it’s inside the tank and reduces noise also has a large media basket that’s easy to access. The pumps are also made by sicce which has been making high quality pumps for ages. It is more expensive than most hob’s but I’m hoping they’re worth it. I’m not sure I can budget a sump yet or access one due to my disability, but I will look into themAqua Clear 110s are a very nice HOB. I really like the filter media options on those.
I haven't seen the Tidal before, but mostly I've been looking at sump stuff.
What do you like best about it? What attributes do you want?
