cichlid city
what central american cichlids should or could i house in my 90 gallon tank im getting this weekend.

wow if i had that big of a tank id get a jack dempesy, an oscar or flower horn or get to flowers and breed them... or a jag... or a snook.... or what ever you want

right now in my 90g i have 2 GT's and a FM you could have a pair of JD's, a small community of FM's, an oscar, GT's, pair of FH's just be prepared to divide them.there are a number of options.

As far as housing cichlids, a 90 gallon isn't really different from a 75 gallon because they have the same footprint.

That being said, if I had either a 75 or a 90, I would get one large growing cichlid for it, such as a Red Devil, Flowerhorn, Jag, etc. I would rather have 1 large glassbanger than several smaller cichlids.

A 90 gallon isn't as big as you think snook and flowerhorn should have a 125. Minimum requirements for a breeding pair of jags is a 125.

I fully agree a 90 is still 48'' long.

Well nobody's mentioned trimac yet...

Pair of red tiger motas? Pair of tetracanthus? Pair of grammodes?
