90 Gallon TANKMATES

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What kind of hidey holes/cover do you have for the fish? If all the fish are swimming around on edge because there is no place to escape, they'll dart whenever they see movement. Funny, the more hiding places you supply for your fish, the more bold they become! I guess they're more comfortable when they know exactly where to go when need be, thus allowing them to relax more out in the open.
That's what I've learned anyway.

^ (thats the current tank setup btw)

There arent any shadows around the tank other than the cover provided by the floating driftwood. And F1 vet a species tank would be nice but i think two oscars would be a crowd. It seems the a 6ft tank is the min to house 2 with a good success rate..

I would not do anything less than 120 gals for that stock. You might be able to get away with it if you control aggression when they are older and over filter the aquarium and do lots of Wcs.

Ya im aware that my stock is pusing my tank a little bit. I no longer have the fm and the pleco will be gone this week. Other than the O and poly, what fish do you think would make the best tankmates for them? I was looking at bala sharks and the only thing i was unsure about is if tht cud work in a 4ft tank and not a 6ft. Also some other tankmate suggestions? The con is nice and robust but a chicken and the JD is just as jumpy, kinda sick of the stock. I want an exciting tank for people to look at with some big fish..again any help is appreciated
