Forgive me for saying so, but I've never been fond of the flowerhorn. Looks like the have giant tumors. I always think I might mistake an actual parasite for just another unsightly bump on the fish. ... However, the pike cichlids are appealing. Never had one of those either. Do they have interesting personalities?
It's ok! Flowerhorns aren't for everybody. Personally I don't really like the kok either but only when it looks really nice. Pike cichlids are really cool too. Never owned one though.

I thought about that Wiggles. I always kind of wanted to own an ornate bichir, but I still have that itch to try something completely new. Besides, I'm not sure I have enough room in my heart for another bichir as long as I have Dinky. This fish and I have been through a lot.

After looking at them, I'm pretty sure I'd thoroughly enjoy either a gulper cat, or a wolf fish (ideally the rainbow). I guess I'll put out feelers for both specimens, see if I can find either locally. Thanks for all the ideas!

Or u could get a couple axolotl they grow pretty big and eat almost any meat u give them. Mine loves chicken. Ok granted they are cold water and have to be kept alone but they are cool. Or maybe blue whale cat but not sure if tank big enuf
