90g American Cichlid setup

Thanks with all the input. But seems my wife is leaning towards having multiple fish in the 90g. So I showed her what a Red Oscar and Green Terror looks like and she favours the Green Terror.

With that, would a Green Terror and some tank mates like Acaras be good? What about other tankmates? And quantity?

? well luckily my plan isn’t to do any breeding.

Then to be safe I'd steer clear of either the regular or electric blue acara. They're kinda hard to see. Especially when young. Some pictus cats could make for an interesting tank with a gt

Gt and the blood parrots maybe. It's hard to give a yes answer when mixing larger cichlids. I could see territorial aggression being an issue as the fish mature.

What about a severum? A gold or red dot would contrast a gt nicely. Could add a larger syno cat or a few plecos and call it a day.

Now that you mention it I do like the Gold, Red Spot and Red Shoulder Severums. So how many would you say in a 90g to go with 1 GT? And what about a Geophagus? Would 1 GT, 1 Geo, and a 2-3 Severums be a good tank? Or too much.

Well I have seen many tanks with 1 geo.
