The return leaked a little bit, so I siliconed it

After letting it dry I turned it back on to fill up to the overflows... it overflowed nicely....

The overflows were too high... idiot... so I loosened the bulkheads and turned them

Overflows work nicely. The silicone leaked too, so I pealed it off and put pvc glue. It also has a hose clamp. It has a spray bar on the other side that I made, but forgot to take pics of. When its working properly I will take pics of it through the water. Any suggestions welcome.

Nice!!!!!

ok... I added one more hole to the spray bar to relieve some pressure and it works now.. but I guess after angling my overflows they don't flow as much, so water level was CREEPING up. So I turned them a little more it seems to be ok. I'll have to keep a close eye on it. I have a bag of peat and carbon inthe sump also. The water sat for about 48 hours and had a nice cloud. Its already almost gone. I am flowing a lot of water here! Its awesome.

Congrats on a nice job  .

Question on your filter:

Are you dumping the water into the red tub and drawing the water off the top of the buckets?

How high is the water level in the tub?

And one more- did you put the peat on top in the bucket or in the bottom of the tub?

Did I mention what a nice job you did?! :grinyes:

Each overlfow has its own bucket to trickle through. There is also a prefilter just undernieth the drip plate. Its about 6" deep in the tub. Maybe 1/2" submerging the buckets after they sit on the small baskets. Its about 2" higher than the intake of the pump. The peat and carbon are in a bag in the bottom of the tub.

nice work... looks good so far

Thanks for the reply, I like your setup. Keep us posted on how it cycles up.
