90g Synspilum?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Definitely! Good food, veggies and lots of water changes. I do small daily water changes to remove feces and any food particles and a large 80% change every sunday. During the week nitrate stays in the 10ppm range and then drops to 0 after the 80% water change.

I did see potential in her though at the lfs so I can't take all the credit. lol

Actual veggies. She totally loves peas but will eat any vegetables really. Zucchini, cucumber, squash, romaine lettuce, carrots, broccoli, spinach. Apparently they like fruit too but I haven't tried it yet.

I just picked up another 90g and I want to get a group of 6 Syns to grow out and hopefully get a pair. I'm trying to figure out fast these guys grow?
I know the 90g is too small long term.. I'm just trying to figure out how long before I'd need to upgrade to a 6 foot tank?

My female syns grew about 4" to 12" in about 12 months. She's in the video in my signature.

Not trying to derail, but I'm curious about this, too.

My fish is pretty darn similar to these other two that were posted. Can we get a positive I.D.?

Right around 12" or so. I think it's a male but not sure yet either.

From the research I had done on this prior I thought it was a Paratheraps bifasciatus. Didn't see any other kind of hybridization in it
