90G tank cracked

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Is the stand still level? How about the floor? It sounds to me if you have a break in the front and back wall then your tank is not as level all across the whole thing. I would suspect that the end of the cracked area was not supported like the rest of the tank and thus caused the tank to fail. How long of a level did you use when figuring out the level of the stand?

i would just bring it back to the place you got it from. If they don't get you a new one, break one of theirs and run for it...

Its actions like this that makes me despise people.

No styro. But her dad is a carpenter and I know that thing is probably more level than anything bought in a LFS. Besides even if it were off a tad here or there...it shouldnt have caused such a large crack like that if there wasnt some kind of flaw in the pane of glass.

A friend of mine had their 55 gal spring a leak while they were away on a long weekend due to a manufacturer's mistake. The manufacturer looked at it, replaced the tank and paid for the damage done to their house. No doubt it was a mess to arrange, but it is possible. good luck!

She contacted Perfecto today and they seemed to think it may be a fault with the glass...they are going to take pics and send to them probably tomorrow. Would have had pics but theyve been busy with the repairs to the room. We're going this week to buy an All-Glass 75G tank, and if it is confirmed that the tank had a fault theyre going to send her a free tank...which I will end up with if it goes threw :D
