I just set up my 90g tank with sandblaster sand and is cycling. Have a small 3 inch tiger oscar and a pleco I will be puttin in. Other than that I'm looking for ideas for stock. I don't really care about keeping it only SA cichlids, just cool stock.

My current idea is

2 tinfoil barb
1 electric blue JD

Tinfoil barbs get 15" and they are very skittish so I believe the recommended size for a tinfoil tank is around 200 gallons as they jump as well as get very large. I might be wrong though but I know some species of barb get huge and I think it's tinfoils. I would get a male jack dempsey the Oscar the pleco and possibly a cool looking catfish like an eclipse catfish or maybe an upside down catfish or something. But definitely get some sort of catfish they are awesome! If none of those would work I would get like 30 live or fake plants or both and fill up the whole tank and get tons of decorations and get like 15 Cory cats maybe more as they are really cool to watch and very fast so they would probably outlast the Oscar and the jd. But I wouldn't reccomend an ebjd as they are very sensitive while normal jds are very hardy! Good Luck! 

Ok. I might give the electric blue a try, lfs has them. I'll check out the synod e.

I don't like blood parrots.

I am real interested in a pike cichlid. Maybe a c. Xingu

Pike is a good idea, xingu is not. Agressive buggers they are. Try something peaceful like sveni or saxatilis.

Ok that was by next question. I have no idea where I can find one of those guys tho. Any ideas?
