90gal setup

posting is new for me but willing to give it a try. I have a 90gal tank and setup i bought from my brother for $100. i had an Oscar in it with an id shark now I'd like to set up something new. I was thinking of small fish schools and live plants. never done live plants be fore. I will keep posting on this as i go with pics.

I recently got into live plants as well. Hornwort, Wisteria and Java Ferns have all been easy to grow and maintain. Your tank will look nice with some plants and schooling fish. I recently got a small group of Cherry Barbs...love 'em!

nice fish. wen i do up my tank should i put the plants in first and let it set for a couple of days?

It really doesn't matter. If you do plants first, you could have your water levels lower to help place them, but I added most of my plants after the fish were already established.

I have a magnum 350pro canister filter will that be good enough for my 90 gallon?

I have one on my 55. Its a great filter IMO! Its probably not quite enough to cover your 90 though. Most members here prefer to over-filtrate. Also, its really nice to have two going at once. You're covered much better that way. I would suggest getting another 350 so you can keep one type of media. You can find them fairly often for around $50 used.

For now, one filter would get you started, but you should either add a second or upgrade soon.

I bought 5 neon tetra's and 2 Glo fish but two of my neon died. I will have more pics wen I do more

nice!!!!
u should look into some type of dwarf cichlid as centerpeice fish..
with a massive school of neons, tetras, cherry barbs and hatchets.
for the bottom mabey a nice group of cories.. haha and plants!
