950 Plywood/Acrylic Build on Wheels!

Thank you for you concerns. I appreciate the feedback and advice.
As you can see in the following pictures we started with the base of the stand, attaching 2x12's to the 6x6's. Flipped it over (already getting heavy) attached the wheels and installed bolts by each wheel (just to be on the safe side). Put it down on the wheels and continued installing 2x12s across the top of the 6x6's. This will insure that the plywood bottom of the tank is fully supported through out.

There's going to be a lot of weight per square inch due to those wheels

Yes there will be. We have planned that out already as well.

My only advice is to buy another 6x6 and sister the long 6x6 together to make a strong base. Is this going on a concrete floor

I wish you the best, but man I hope you have DAMN good insurance...

And just remember, those ratings per wheel/bolt etc are only part of the equation. It only takes very slight movements, stresses or warping in those seams to crack epoxy and cause disaster so unless you are going the liner route.....

The tank is going on the tile floor in the pictures. (which has concrete below it)
I dont think insurance covers fish tanks lol.
Thanks, we only plan on moving it in an emergency.

3/4"or 1" pads that are 24" x24" is the least I would do with it 1/2 rubber membrane under that. You can drain to 15 percent of the tank and move it in an emergency

I don't see why just building it slightly away from the wall would hurt...
