96X30X24 Rdy in 2 weeks for 2 Armatus??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Recently there was a thread going on about some juvi armatus that came in.

And in that thread I made a comment about armatus not being a shoaling fish and this is what mfk member/vendor Rich had to say about that.

these are threads that were posted several months ago. all these armatus came from me. and they are schooling together successfully. and yes these are the cheap $50 armatus that were so-called fake.

not everyone can have a school of armatus due to the price they go for. but when it came down to $50 members and hobbyist had the chance to do it and it was a success.

I myself was able to school 10 leichardti arowanas with zero aggression proven on my youtube video. myths and belief can be broken. myths of making your fish sick after changing water of more than 90% is false for me. some of these members saw me change water 90% with fluctuation of 10 degrees with complete success. it depends on what kind of fish and how you take care of them. maybe you want to re-think that these fish cannot be schooled together

Actually I mad a mistake 96X30X30 sorry.....not that that makes any difference with 6" more heigth...
Hmmm there might be a large Armatus for sale if I can't figure something out... I don't think it is right to keep one in a 75. I have an empty 180 but I am not sure if I want to house 2 seperate armatus when there are som many more things to get. Actually I have about 4 different things in libe for the 180 as it is :(

IF you are going to sell it do it now. RIGHT NOW. While the market is still good. Won't be long before it crashes, they're everywhere, and it won't be worth near what it is right now.

Thx DB your opinion means a lot... I will probably have to make a decision within a couple months. I might give this a shot, doubt I will find another Armatus at the size of these big boys. They may be a little bigger than a foot. Maybe smeone would be interested in a trade for a similar size ATF Vit???I will get some picks up as I always promised in the past and havent done yet :( I will go try in a few minutes

2 Pics the 2nd pic is the bigger one... This is their temp housing, sorry for the poor pics.. If they go through..

Do it.... But I'd add a bunch of fish.

Get a group of fish that are a lil bigger and then turn them loose in there. Call it a hunch but I think this would be the difference of it working and NOT working.

I think just the 2 will be disaster but if you have a bunch of flashy dithers or bigger fish it may work!!! I just think 2 that have been raised alone, at the age they are at, are the 2 reasons that odds are against you.

Thanks for the input guys I will keep u posted

Thx a lot.... I will probably try it and se what happens. I will divide the tank at night maybe and watch as much as possible in the day for a week or so.
