the problem is fonts like hard water and geos and rays like soft water so something wont be happy

and dont you think that rock looks a little out of place in a ray tank but looks right at home with fonts

just my opinion

Would 3 Hystrix be too much for this? Could I keep Discus in here? How many?

that tank would be perfect for them. I have 4 hystrix in a 72x30x24.

You could probably get a few different colored severums if you want something to add some more color to the tank. Some larger geophagus would also do the trick.

Geophagus species, Discus (i have atleast), Satanoperca species , heros species. Theres plenty to chuce from, personaly i love the satanoperca and Geophagus.. I would keep fish from the same area, not mix like in the picture above, looks like a plaincrash imo(IMO )
