9th planet discovered?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Allow me to be the first to name this planet, MFKtopia; where they will discover massive irradiated Oscar fish, the size of buses.

Failing that, it will help advertise the forum ;)
Lololololololol! :P

pluto must be pissed. Funny though I kind of thought the same thing though, not sure why they would make it up but still was puzzling that this wasn't discovered sooner

Apparently (sorry if I offend anyone with this, I don't mean to) there are people out there that still believe the earth is flat. With people being that stubborn and refusing to change their beliefs (when presented with factual information) I'm surprised that we've made it this far :P

I'm joking, no hate please. :)

Not being discovered sooner does not lessen the potential for it to be a legitimate planet. We spot other planets but watching the light from behind it as it passes in front of it's host star. We are looking in the opposite direction for something dark, with a black backdrop and did not know to look. I am not surprised it was not discovered sooner. Please name it Nibiru...

Remember at one point 97% of scientist(same number believing in global warming) thought the Earth was flat.

not only this but the kuiper belt is also a fairly new discovery. i think it was first observed in the early 90s. there is still so much more to study with regards to kuiper belt objects.
there was a 100 year gap between the discovery of uranus and neptune. and an 80 year gap between the discovery of neptune and pluto. we're almost at the 100 year anniversary of that discovery... things seem on track i suppose.

I find it interesting, we think we know so much and then we're humbled by it.

We found a dwarf star pretty close to the sun, but they're not sure If it's a star or planet. Too small to be a star, too massive to be a planet.
