yeah thats never good. luckily i havent had a problem with my plecs doing that.

Had a cae do it, but who hasnt.

red devil: when did yours lose its spots? or does it still have spots at a foot.

There is a sinking pellet called HBH cichlid attack, keep an eye out for it. All my pseudacanthicus seem to like it. They also, like the sinking algae wagers.
