Sounds like a plumbing nightmare. How do you ensure that the right amount of water gets to the right sized tank? I imagine adjustable valves, but wouldn't the tanks eventually get lop sided? As in one tank ends up getting more than it's fair share and overflows?

Actually its very simple, Gravity is our friend I have a few set-up this way and they work out great. Bottom drilled tanks and stand pipes Every tank gets equal water flow/circulation.

Yeah thats what im thinking of doing i have offered to pay some money at the end of each month but she says that i should spend it on other things.

Like what, more tanks and fish?
But in my experiance, in a watt:size ratio, smaller tanks consume more energy. Perhaps tearing down the small tank is a fesiable option?

Ive now got a new 5x2x2 tank and ive got 2 move some stuff around and strip fown 2 tanks but ive made room for him and his own tank.

Makes alot of sense to hook-up several tanks off one system, is there a diagram to back this up hopefully with sizes?
