ok! great! any tricks to get them stabilized quicker? aside from water params and no bullies in the tank?

Just suit their needs. Give a few hiding spots for each one you get. If one is beating up on another it will probably continue and get worse sometimes, so keep an eye out and change out with a bigger one then the bully one if you want or add more hiding to try and keep it peaceful. But I think you should be alright.

After all the dats I have tried I am going with a 1 dat per species rule from now on with any under 6".

I bought 4 small NTT's and didn't quarentine and lost my 4"er and a Pbass as a result.

Do you know who has some that would be willing to ship?? I really want to buy two right now but I'm having trouble finding them. OP, sorry to derail your thread.

Hit the classifieds and ask(message) some of the vendors. I'm sure they can help you out. Or a LFS. Anything over 4" you'll probably have to search a little.

thank you sir! all replies are greatly appreciated! now im the hunt for dats!

Just so you know those dats in the video are ST's and its not going to be easy get some. NTT seem to be the one dat that catch disease easier. IT are one of the best dats to keep without problems and get the 2nd biggest out of the dats. Make sure you get a group of 3or more though. This will become a addiction..Trust me i know.

good info! but all dats species still need to be quarantined for gill flukes first?

I would also agree with the AT as a good starter Dat. Being the cheepest and most available. It will only get 12 to 13 inches and is a greedy eater. I disagree that it is the nastiest in disposition. Although I haven't had one, the NGT sounds the most aggressive. I have never seen an NGT for sale in this area.
