A bit of a problem?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think that will be good. The cichlids probably are getting his food before it gets to him. But i grew one of my baby sens out in a 10 for about 2 months with water cleaning every 2 days or so and he grew from 2 inches to 4 in about 4 weeks. So just keep the tank clean and feed him well

Thanks Dr.B is there anything special I can't feed him to make him grow thicker and longer?

The cories will be fine with a 3" bichir. Get him onto a good pellet like New Life Spectrum and supplement with some frozen bloodworm or mysis shrimp. You can also use cut up shrimp and fish like tilapia.

i woudn't do it. my 4.5 inch weeksi ate all SIX of my 2.5 inch clown loaches one by one. plus, in a 10 gal tank, the cories have no place to run!

That's a bichir that is twice the size of the fish he was eating. At 3", the cories would have to be 1.5". I have a 3" del in quarantine right now. He couldn't even begin to get his mouth around a cory, unless it was a pygmy.

lol don't get worried at everything. If a bichir bit something but spits it out, he'll come back. Feed him when it's dark.
