its one of those supposed lap-endli hybrid, isn't it? very cool. do you know what did the breeding farms export them as (or what were they imported as)? i'm curious if they're confirmed as hybrid by the farms or labeled as something else...

they all have those external gills when they're young so that's not the reason. like infblue said, it might be lap/endli hybrid that's why it's going for $50. the head pattern is similar to a lap but the body stripes is that of an endli.

That's right, bro. I only know it's from Indonesia. The big joke is the importer once tried to fool us (probably for business reason) and told us it's Congo bichir........ Lately, they admited those are lap-endli hybrid.
