cichlasoma laetacara yaaay

So, I guess you like both of these genera. If so, I'll post (in a new thread) some photos of my other Cichlasoma as well as my Laetacara. I have every species except for Laetacara fulvipinnis - the Orange Flossen Laetacara. They are great little Acaras.

The acara hint threw me, as it's too tall to be any species of acara that I've seen. I was about to suggest a larger, older Cichlasoma but threw it out becuase you said acara though.

I couldn't even begin to guess which Cichlasoma if I can't count the anal fin rays in the pic though. Might need better pics if you want everyone to guess, short of just listing them all off.

darth pike, sorry about the picture quality. These two are the best I have of several. The truth is I'm just a horrible photographer. If it helps any, I can tell you that this Cichlasoma is a member of the Cichlasoma bimaculatum complex or what some call the Northern complex of species. I'm sure you know, but for others, these are the species with 4 or more spines in the anal fin. There are only six described species of this group, so this should narrow it down a bit.

The unusually hefty body shape of this species is actually a point Kullander talks about in his revision of the genus.
