Wetspot and Jeff Rapps have wild caught Inca stone fish available. I have five 2"-3" WC from Rapps in a tank with larger tankmates and they haven't done that well. They are pretty shy. They definitely need a tank where they are the largest or only species of cichlid. I've been trying to sell mine for a while now since I am moving soon. If you are okay with paying for shipping, I will sell you my 5 for cheap.
Tahuantinsuyoa macantzatza (the Inca Stonefish) is a Cichlasomine cichlid similar to those in the genus Bujurquina. (it looks a bit acaraish)
Not at all like the poisoned spine stonefish of Austrailia.
I believe the name comes from the areas indigenous people, referring to the way it hides among the rocks.
They move around a lot, so the first picture is the best I could get. The rest are all blurry. Of course it doesn't help that the best camera I have is an iPhone camera. The second picture is the stock picture from Jeff Rapps.
