She would say she dosn't know, found a fish person on the clock, or told them to come see me later..

The customer usually appreciates honesty, and if they want to be succesful they would wait or do their own research..

If the customers can't wait and need immediate satisfaction, there's nothing special I could do for them either..

(ex: people insisting on purchasing dragon gobies even after I educate them.. Satisfy the stupid ones too :))

Nice work!!! Good to know that those fish didn't go to their graves after a few days. Next time you see the guy tell him about mfk.
 
You know whats funny about working corp. ?

You get people coming in 'thinking' they know alot about fish and they come and try to quiz me.. It really must be disheartening when I know all the answers, provide solid facts, and can give good advice. It's especially funny when I start getting super technical on them and 'talking circles' around them because I realize that they are trying to mess with me.

For example: A guy comes in asking lame questions about oscars and how big they get and what they eat.

After I realize he is trying to pull my chain.. I start referring to them as Astronotus Ocellotus and explain to them where they come from, why their sci name is ocellotus and what the eye spot is significant for, the different variations of oscars and how selective breeding has created them, why hole in the head disease exists and why people generally take horrible care of oscars by keeping them in undersized (55g) tanks..

Needless to say the guy had 4 Oscars in a 55g and felt really stupid for trying to quiz me..

well next time I am in WA, I am going to go to the local store and quiz these terrific men... I will do my best to challenge them...
































































When I fail I will ask to see the manager and complain that I was sexually harassed!
 
great job... I try to help people out, often it turns into the associates quizzing me to see if they can make me say something wrong.

I sometimes just help and act fish snob so they leave me a lone. I do have a few LFS that I go to the I help out with stuff.
 
Although the guy appreciates your help, I think his wife or gf probably hates you for making him more devoted into the hobby. Great job thou.
