Here's some new pics of my pbass. Still not sure whether its mono/occel or kelberi. Getting nice and fat off guppies. The only other fish I have that eats as much as him is the IT Dat, but the pbass is growing a lot faster. He's about 3" or so right now.

nice bass.. how much did you pay?

I got it free :D

Traded a big clump of wisteria in at one of my lfs' for him and a zamora catfish (haven't seen the catfish since I dropped it in the tank). He was listed at $10 though.

He actually has a lot more gold color than he shows in the pictures, especially on his tail. The black dot is completely surrounded by gold, and its creeping out from the edges of the dot more everyday it seems. You can kind of see it in picture 5 above, but it doesn't show up well. He's started to develop the white spots on his dorsal fins over the last couple of days as well.

It's amazing how much he's grown and colored up just in the couple of weeks that I've had him. He doesn't look like any of the other pbass in the stores around here either.

in that case, im willing to bet a wild mono.. very nice.

imma say mono. nice looking glitter on the bass.

nice. have fun growing them out :D

I picked up another one sunday afternoon, but he almost ended up lunch for this one, so he got put into a smaller tank. He's extremely underfed, and I don't know if he'll make it or not.

Today I picked up the other pbass that was with the one in the above pictures at the lfs. He is very similar in looks, and I'll get pics as soon as he's in the tank and acclimated. He's a little smaller than mine, but I think I've been feeding him more than the guy at the lfs did. He'll fatten up fast though. Hopefully the runt will pull through and start eating. He's in a tank with a couple of female guppies that regularly pop out babies, so he should have plenty of adequately sized meals on a regular basis.
