A couple new pics...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here are the pics of the other pbass. I don't know if the little guy will make it. I literally pulled him out of the mouth of my bigger guy earlier, and his belly is pretty sunken. Hopefully he pulls through. The first pics are of him.

The rest of the pics are of the new bass that was at the same store I got my first bass from, so I assume they're the same species (they looked identical at the store). Now my guy is about an inch bigger than the new one, and much brighter colored. You can easily tell the difference. The new one is smaller and darker.

They've also already started "schooling" together, after the new one only being in the tank about an hour. The new one is swimming to the side, and slightly behind, the bigger one.

well the little guy in the first pic didn't make it. He died about 2 hours after I put him in the other tank. Too bad, he looked like he had potential.

The other two are going great. They eat like pigs, and I think the 1st one I got has tripled in size in about 3 weeks... He's about 4 inches long already! I need to get my other 125g tank set up already, before he gets big enough to start eating the bleeding heart tetras :nilly:

I got a pretty kicka$$ piece of driftwood for the tank as well. Red spiderwood, nice and long, and really branchy. I'll include a pic of it in the tank. I plan on suspending it from the cross-supports of the tank, so it's not resting on the bottom. That way it'll be more like roots/branches hanging down from above.

Here's some more pics of the two pbass.

Sorry to hear about your other bass dude..
but that new setup is kick ass, the driftwoods sick.. i wouldnt suspend it, it looks great like that..

Thanks. As soon as I saw the driftwood I had to get it. I'm thinking of suspending it because I may be getting a pair of hystrix stingrays for the tank, and if I do, I want the floor to be completely open (except for maybe a couple of mid-size smooth rocks). I am also hoping to get some 3M colorquartz, either S or T grade, in black, for the substrate. I think that would look freaking awesome!

that would look awesome! black sand is the best :D
