I've wanted these fish for over 2 decades but they've never been available to me. A few years ago one of my importers sent me a trio of small specimens and it just went from there. From that point on I have been collecting Lebiasinidae, right now my collection includes Nannostomus beckfordi, Copella nattereri, Lebiasina bimaculata, Lebiasina multimaculata, Lebiasina Colombia, Lebiasina chocoensis, Lebiasina festae and Lebiasina ortegai.

I have several multimaculata and I'm now attempting to breed them, so I decided to separate this pair from the rest and give them a 35 to themselves. I've seen (and recorded) some courtship behavior but no eggs as of yet.

Here's a quick video of them feeding:

Super cool! Those are big and powerful.
I used to have Copella cf arnoldi, splash tetras. Much smaller but similar, nice.
One up for Lebiasinidae!

Awesome splash tetras are wicked! I completely forgot I also have a few Pyrrhulina spilota as well - not outwardly aggressive but they're pretty tough little fish, not afraid to bite anything that tries to bother them!
