Of course, the video is in french, but no needs to understand what I'm saying, just watch and you will understand easily ... the aquarium is ... or was, 180 gallons

Il y a quelque individus ici qui comprend le francais.... "y a rien que je peut faire", comme tu l'avait dit dans le video...incroyable.

Avez vous achetez un nouveau aquarium? Ci oui, quel grandeur?

Serge

Thanks a lot. I guess you are from St-Boniface :-)
I didn't buy a new one yet (it happened yesturday night), but as soon as yhe insurance compagny has come today to see that, I will going to buy a new one. This one was 71 X 32.5 X 18. 32,5 inches high is beatifull for the eyes, but not easy for the maintenance, so, the next one will be a classic size, 72 X 24 X 24

notre pire cauchemar, Michel!!

Comment est ça arrivé?

Quelle merde!!

Amazing how the damm thing did not crash wide open! You were lucky, in the end, with the way it broke, Michel....

Thank you everybody for the kind words.
I just called my insurance compagny and they have told me that everything is covered. If necessary (and I think it is), they will change my wood floor. Somebody is comming this morning with few giant blowers and will drying the floor (because it is dry on the floor, but not under) and the basement ceiling

What a nightmare! With the look of that crack, i can't believe that the entire front panel did not blow out! I guess you are lucky in a weird way. Best of luck.

Drama indeed, although you seemed pretty calm in the video. Its a great thing the insurance is covering the damage on the floor. Any chance they can replace the tank too? other furniture damage?

BTW I was watching the videos and wondering if something like duct tape or gorilla tape would be an easy leak-stop if you applied it from the inside? any thoughts?

Yes, it has been good to use that kind of tape, but all what I found at this moment was masking tape and I don't think it could stop nothing ... lol
But this morning, I have found all the tapes I was searching for yesturday :-)

Where is your heater
