3 or 4 years ago I was on you tube looking for music. Me as a bad speller typed a songs name wrong and a feeding video of a Hydrolycus Armatus came up. I watched over and over and over agen, It shocked me you could keep a fish like that in a fishtank. I saw the MFK logo under the vid and I started looking at fish more and more. I finaly got a tank and asked a LFS if they could get me an Armatus... he looked at me and said yeah right kid, IDK anyone that even has one and they go for $$$$... Go look at the gold fish, Thats something you could keep and you could aford. so I started working harder at getting a job and looking up info of all fish. I kinda gave up hope on getting an armatus. once I felt like I could call myself a true monsterfishkeeper I loged on to here and just yesterday I got 2 little 2and ahalf inch Armatus!!!

anyone wanna give any tips with armatus this small? tanks all good with hidding spots and temps up to 80. Ive seen larger ones but never this small. they both ate today too!


and sorry I dont have a pic, I tryed 2xs and they all came out ****ty and I dont wanna stress them out since Ive only had them 2days

And Idk if u know but there are 2 types I believe scomberoides or armatus

wow didnt see that one comming hah jk there in my 125. Im making a large tank 500+ once the tiger fish gets bigger along with the ray. Like I said there only 2 & 1/2 inch right now so theyll be fine

Ive seen all 4 payaras in person, I even have 2 gibbises and I had a tat for a wile + I got them from aquascape
 
I like your wolf fish too! I had to sell mine when he hit 15inch tho :(
 
I sold mine to a guy on here about 3 weeks ago I miss him. But about your payara try and get him to eat earth worms, tilapia and shrimp you can't really go wrong with that.
