Make sure you have a divider or another tank next to you. There normaly Tats are ok with othere fish but sometimes youll see one that just loses it and gose out for blood! My tat couldnt go with anything, even my tigerfish. He would rise to the top of the tank when I open the lid and if he wasent hungrey he would kill the feeders for fun! I was gone all weekend the one time so I put 6 or so feeders thinking it would last him the weekend, getting ready to leave and I went to look at im one last time and he ate one and kelled half of them and as im getting the net to get the dead feeders out he took out 2 more with one bit each! he was a crazy mf
Really? I've heard them to be quite peaceful as long as the fish isn't small enough to fit in his mouth

No man theres always one in the pack thats just totaly mental! Didnt matter what size theywere, he just didnt want them in his tank hah
I had an Aro once, he hit 21 inches befor I ended up selling him. he was awsome, let me pet him and hand feed him. But he was a big berute and would steal my other fishes food and start fights with them. But I love the Armatus! Payaras are harmless to people that I know of. There teeth are made for putting holes in there prays swimblater so If the pray slips away he wont be able to swim so the payara can catch back up with him and allso for an instent kill. they cant tair or rip with them or they will brake off. But when It comes to other fish its a way different story hahaha
