the larger bocourti is the male,they are wild caught(special order from don conkel,by way of ira harris)paid a pretty penny to get them but it was well worth the prices,got them about a little under 2 years ago,the male was about 4.5 inches the female was about 3 inches,now the male is 14 inches and the female is 10.5 inches(think they are ready to spawn,they are cleaning out the flower pot and defending it,and coloring up nicely)keeping my figures crossed.
as for the haits the male killed the female,but i have 2 more females starting to color up.
