Nice! Mine are 2.5 inches at the most, going to take ages for my lot to get that big!

Thanks guys!

They seem to slow down in growth after about 6", then slow down even more after 8". They take a long time to grow out, but it makes it that much more rewarding once they do have some size! Other than one I bought at 7", I grew all of these out from 4" or less.

Oh how I love clown loach, mine give me endless enjoyment. Yours are great examples, large healthy and happy in a great setup!

Thanks, man. Tank's a 5'x2'x2' 150 gallon with a 40 gallon sump. Have six clowns that are from 4"+ to 9.5" and one new one that's about 2". I've been tempted to add a few more little ones. But am already having to add a second wc every 3-4 weeks to keep my nitrates down to where I prefer them to be. Doesn't help I've got about 10ppm nitrates right out of the tap.

Well.... went to the lfs today. They had two small clowns that have been there for a couple weeks that looked real healthy.... so I bought them hahaha. One has a bit of an oddball pattern. Should be interesting to see how the pattern develops. Both are probably about 1.75". Figured my other small one needed some buddies his own size lol

Do you remember if the pelvic fins on your large loaches were red only when they were young? If you look at one of your new loaches the pelvic fin is totally red. I am curious if the pelvic fin changes color as they grow.

I cannot recall if the others had red pelvic fins when smaller. I'll be paying attention to this one now that you pointed that out though!
