What kind of camera did you use to shoot these?
It's a Nikon D50 with a 28-200mm lens.

dang... that last shot is great!
Now that I see it on a different monitor, I could have made it a bit better, but I'm still happy with how it came out. Thanks:D
are you hooking up your digital camera to a flash that is mounted on the top of the tank?
For everything but the full tank shot. For the full tank shot I'm just using the tank lighting.

Thanks guys:)

I went through 4 issues of Aquarium Fish International, still didn't find any shots that compared with yours! If you quit your job and started doing fish photography, you would be a thousandaire in no time!

Amazing pics of an amazing tank/fish.

You don't use flash right?

What are the lighting in the tank and in the room? Why is the background all black? Do you have one of those black backgrounds?

I use the flash for the pictures of the fish, but not the full tank shot.

I do have a black background, but I moved the tank lights to the front of the tank so the back of the tank would be underexposed making it look pitch black. The background is black, but if too much light hits it you still get some reflections.

Tank lighting is a 6700kT8 and the room lights were off.
