Im not really new to gars just wondering how to spike up their color more cause mine seems to be a little more dull in color??

darker backgrounds will often enhance the color contrast in gars, whereas lighter backgrounds will flush them. at night, gars will lose most of their patterns altogether.

also keep in mind that colors you see in photos are often enhanced in one way or another...either by upping the color contrast or toying with lighting...photos are the way the camera sees the subject, and we alter it from there either to make it more life-like and/or just manipulating it as we see fit--
