a few silver arowana questions

Na it's cycled there has been fish in that tank for over a year I just did a water change I'm not new to fish just aros I do my tanks religiously cuz I'm used to keeping discus tanks their probably be nitrate if I checked it today what temp is best
 
Ok cool I'll give it a try I added some more air stones and a power head a few days ago that seems like it's helping also
 
I would take out the powerhead. aros (especially smaller ones) aren't too fond of getting pushed around by strong currents. air stones are fine tho.
 
It's not real powerful at all barely moves my fingers I just got the power head today and it's pointed to the bottom glass just to stir the waste up to get to the filters it since I'm just doing a no gravel tank unless u have another way I can do that?
 
How long have you had the tank bottom bare? Sometimes that will cause them to want to go to the bottom of the tank and look at the reflection constantly. This could also cause droopy eye where the arowana's eye gets stuck looking down. Also what do you feed him? If hes eating and what ever you put in floats then he should want to come to the top of the tank.
 
Try adding some floating plants. The will often make the arowana feel more secure.
 
It's been bare for 3 days He eats sera Arowana pellets And that's all I give him he always eats it not like he's down at the bottom looking like he's gonna die he just hovers 2 inches from the bottom. I wouldn't think anything of it if I seen him just take a 20 minute break from swimming like he does when the lights are off but only when they are on he does it
