Jeeez!! So obvious in the video.

Her trailers are tiny compared to his and the body shape is very different!
They should definitley get it happening fry would be beautiful.

Are they in a divided tank now so they can see each other?

If they were you could just let them together when she is really conditioned; her papillae drop and she has a round belly and then once the deed is done separate them.

That is my method for my festae since my male took out his frustrations on my female and nearly killed her.

Once again, stunning fish!

They are in separate tanks that are directly beside each other. I'm going to try and hold off on breeding until the male hits the 15" mark, don't want to slow it down if you know what I mean! Thanks for the input though.

Hey thanks for the kind words. She is definitely a she, see this vid I took of them a few months back. black dorsal, mating signals from the male, etc. They were only together for an hour or 2.

Both real nice fish. I can see from the video how powerful and aggressive this type of fish can be. All from the way the male carrys itself.

Awesome fish Mike!

PS, the grammodes is yours if I do end up selling off his tank :)

Thanks all!

Bastardfish - I don't have any current vids of the RD/Midas. He's easily the most outgoing fish I own, and also the angriest.

DarthV - sounds like a plan, let me know!
