What is the average max size in aquaria (either ones you have kept or the general max sizes you have seen posted on the internet)? And how fast do they grow?

And can this large, upper jaws be kept with the smaller upper jaws for life? I am talking the sens, dels, and palmas's of the bichir world. I am worried about the large size and their especially large head.

Any chance to keep with a rope fish? I saw a thread in my search of a 10 inch weeksii eating an 11 inch rope fish.... errr wut haha.

Thanks!

Thats scary I have a 10inch weeksii in with 4 10-11 inch rope fish at the moment also some 6 inch but very fat body spinney eels might have to move them though.

 Really, that may be what happened to my Delhezi. I had a 9-10" Del with a fat 14" Weeksii. I didn't think the it could be eaten and when it disappeared, I guessed it had jumped out and the cat got it because I never found the body.

Wouldn't it come out as a big giant nasty turd though? I didn't see one in the tank if so.

I would say eating a bichir of 10" and eating a rope fish of 10" is two different kettle of fish.

As for max max size of weeksii i have seen 20"-22" around 54cm posted

Mine is about 8"-9" now and growing slowly.

i had a weeksii for about 1 year and i didnt see it eat a thing

they are slower than other birch and to tell the truth i found it a boring fish

up to almost 2'. I would not keep them with the smaller species.

no, i don't. i said they can get almost 2 feet (more like 18)
