as for fibreglass, you just have to be careful to make sure you get it right into the corners. if you leave any gaps behind the fibreglass in the corners, it will crack over time with the weight of the water.

the other way I have seen people do it recently is by using cement sheet coated with waterproof cement paint.

The fiberglass resin with the roving and mat are where the strenght is...Make sure to reinforce the corners and you'll be fine...

Plywood is usually strong enough for this kind of stuff, but if you don't think it would work you could make the tank out of concrete on all of the side except for the front. You could the use a sheet of plexiglas for that.
