Series is way worse( as usually ) than the books.

First season looked like B stuff...

B stuff?....Has there ever been a screen production that is better than the book that it was adapted from?

Nope. Not tha ti recall, in fact. But i am an avid reader...

But Game of Thrones was one of the worse produced series i remember in ages. A lot of lousy actors, cardboard stages, and on and on....

It does not convey one inch of the grandiosity of the book ( first theree books at least because it goes downhill fast from Feast for Crows onwards...

For instance hou do not get that " cheap" feeling watching the LOTR movies....

I have the first book but I can't seem to get into it,after a few attempts,so I can't speak on how much justice the show does or does not do the books...I can't seem to get into Fantasy literature but I enjoy well made films of the genre...

The first season was low budget from second season on, they started to drop money into it.

I hope so, because first season, as said, is the cheapest stuff i have seen..even speking in terms of television series..

You do not know what you are losing...

Give a try at David Gemmel. Start with Druss the Legend. It flows very quickly and characters of Gemmel are well fleshed out

The books wander horribly sometimes, thoguh! I am actually grateful that a lot of stuff got cut out. They made some good editing decisions.

I think the show adds too much. Over the top nudity scenes for example? All the best characters were in season/book 1
