I'm just going to jump in here one day and drop BOMBS of what is going to happen, who is going to appear, who lives, who dies, etc... Just to spoil it for all of the non book readers on here.

Another one is Jon is rhaegar and eddards sister son. He's got the pale skin for it , and in the books the northerners have black hair so otd make sense. Encouraging taking the black for safety.
I just started on the books, now the big decision is whether I'm going to stop at the point the shows at... I've been known to read 4 books a week so it wouldn't take long lol

plus I thought ned's sister was kidnapped. in the dvd bonus stuff it says she was kidnapped which led to ned's dad and brother going to king's landing where they were killed, thus sparking the revolution

No I literally just started on the books still on #1 I was just reiterating a theory on Jon snow about that and the thing on joffrey is a complete guess. He is way too viciously idiotic to last much longer IMHO lol and I feel once margarey queenship is solid they will try to dispense of him. That or the Dornish will as revenge for the murders of Elia (rhaegars wife) and her children.
Rhaegar kidnapped Leanna (eddards sister) and very well could have raped or seduced her and put a child in her before they died, which eddard of course would want to keep secret since he would have a solid claim to the throne and would be in danger from his best friend the king. I'd rather call him my illegitimate son then be like oh this is a targaryean/stark haha
