Ramses ramsey? Got off lucky I feel like. I expected the giant to die though, too strong of a plot point especially when they didn't bother to equipt him with a weapon. Good episode though, especially the storm born stuff
I liked the giants and it seems like this one might be the last of them.It did look odd seeing him run into battle without a weapon.

thought it was funny how they didn't cover any particular groups except Danerys and Snow.......I wonder whats going on w/ Circe and Bran and The Hound and the rest of the cast

At the very least they didn't watch Lord of the rings before considering battle plans. I think through, to have an ace like the giant (think about how much psych damage a giant could inflict) and not think of how to maximize it is unrealistic. I doubt the giant would be able to communicate that he prefers fighting with his fists over any more efficient weapon, so at the very least they could show a seen of the giant denying a weapon, maybe?

If the Giant was "realized" their Phalanx formation would have been destroyed and the battle would have been one-sided. A giant wielding a tree trunk would have smashed the entire thing.......remember what he did when they got attacked by White Walkers on the beach when Snow was recruiting the Wildlings?

Glad I remembered you jokers saw it three hours before me so I didn't click the thread until after it was over.

heard this episode is pretty good, I haven't watched it yet; but read the spoilers earlier.

This season has been pretty pants though, I feel that the show has killed all credible characters such as Stannis, Tywin etc; just feels like we're left with minor characters now like Sansa, Littlefinger, Jaime Lannister and Cercei. Well...it's not so much that they are minor characters, but these characters just don't carry the weight the others did.

I still wish we had Joffrey, hated the guy but he was great in the role; now that they've killed Ramsay, I feel like there will be a large void, but who knows.

A further criticism I have, is that the plot lines have been absolutely terrible; including Dorne, and Arya's Faceless Men, even worse is Daenarys story, literally the worst, most boring character on GoT, alongside Sam and Gilly (who have also mysteriously vanished). I'm guessing that since this marks the point that the show has overtaken the books, the writers are seriously struggling to put this together properly. The edge, gore, shock value is gone, it just feels mainstream to me now.

Lots of loose ends tied up and a few new plotlines were established.....and I didn't even get to see the last ten minutes or so of the finale.....

You missed out on some vital stuff. I think this episode was very solid, but I'm wondering if we are going to get a tv exclusive ending or something.

I'll rewatch a replay later and soak in the entire epidode.I'm a little disappointed that there wasn't more violence displayed by Clegane.

I felt like it made potential for some truly horrible things for her next season, but you never know. The gore budget has been diminished for quite some time now, I feel.
