I have two that lay eggs but they are older.. the others are still smaller I bought them when they were still black... they range right now from 6 inches to 2 inches. One that is about 3 or 4 inches fights a lot so I assume it is a male.. I had to move him becuse he fought so much and was getting beat by the others.
I was doing some research on the breeding b.p. and i found out that many of the males are sterile due to being a hybrid fish. but the only way to actually find out male or female is....females have a rounded breeding tube like U and males have a pointed one like \/

well they all look the same to me but I'm going to check out the article. It would be great to know who is female and who is male. I heard too that the males are sterile but thats ok. They are great fish to keep. Thanks for the information
