I'd actually be more worried about those senegals... to an oscar its like a spaghetti noodle. Sluuuurp!

I love a good adult longfin, just make sure the fins dont get nipped! They never seem to heal straight and leave kinks and bends in the fin where it was nipped

Definitely not worried about the Senegals. They're twice the size of the oscars now and the oscars will be upgraded well before they're even close to big enough to make a snack out of the polys

Day 29: decided to officially measure them before today's water change. 5" tip to tip. Body is only 3.5" of that though.

That's when i first got him/her, had it for about 2 months now. I'll see if i can find a pic of my old guy so you can see what you have to look forward too

Those are really nice fins! I'm actually a bit disappointed mine don't have such long fins, but I'm hoping they'll grow in to them.

Day 68: Currently about 7" tip to tip, but that's an eye ball. Please excuse the dirty tank and dim lighting. Duckweed took over.

I'm a little disappointed in their fin length. I was hoping for something a lot longer, but they are still absolutely gorgeous fish, so I can't really be too upset. Their fins are getting longer as they grow, so I'm hoping as they age and get bigger, so will their fins.

Day 71: officially measured at 7.5" and 7" respectively. They finally got their upgrade to the 125!
