Sostoudt, No, the foundation of the water-tank is concrete, and three sides will be walled with stone and bricks. Only the front-side will be walled by glass of 18mm. The top of the tank will be covered with wood or marbles something like that since I want to put there Buddha icons! I am more worried about the good filtration which can reduce bacteria and other germs.

well however you do it i would make sure you can access the filter easily. the main responsibility of the filter is to remove ammonia and nitrite.
