A kill was made today.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am thinking about getting buenos aires tetras. Do you think they would stand a better chance with the deppi and JD?

I doubt you would have better luck with the tetras. You might need to go with something even bigger and more robust....like SD's.

How about posting more pics of the Deppi, he's pretty cool. Maybe a couple of side profile close ups if possible?

Thanks. I'm not a fan of silver dollars and have a planted tank. I wish there were more CA fish sp. to choose from in the U.S. All we have is cichlids and livebarers. Mexican tetras would be a great choice w/ cichlids like this, but no one sells them here. They are native to this country (TX.), so I can't understand why they aren't available in the U.S. You can buy them in Europe.
Anyway, here are pics you requested:

Eat and be eaten.

That is one nice looking fish and I also think no tetra would survive in there my dad has good luck with tiger barbs

I agree, that's a cool fish. I never see any around here on MFK. Thanks for posting :)

Thanks and I think there are a few on here that have them. Maybe do a search and check them out. I bought mine from Jeff Rapps.

Thanks for the info. I've never kept a JD until now. I removed the swordtails and am giving up too.
