I'll get some more if you want them. They are 4-5" now and yes I'm 100% positive they are f2 midas.

F1 barred midas from Rio San Juan. Border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Parents purchased at A Place For Pets in Burien, Washington.

Not the best photos.

Camphilophus, I'll definitley be using one of those juvenile pics. I'll let you know later on when I've got things in order which one.

Modest man, I want to use your barred midas pic, but is there any chance you've got a better picture? I am most interested in the 5" pic.

Again, thanks to everyone for your time and help.

Guys, these are all great pics, and examples I'd love to use, but I do need some sort of verification that these are pure species. Any names? Rapps? Etc?

I just don't want to feed the confusion by posting fish without true I.D.'s.

Both from Rapps.

My photos suck. :(

What do you mean by better? I can do some cropping to bring the photo in tighter and get rid of the distractions on the 5" photo. That's about it.

I just switched computers, and it must have been the screen I was on. The pic looks fine. I'll probably be using it, but give me a little time to arrange things.

You mean you can't shrink the fish back down to 5" and take more pictures?

Hey I hope you don't mind modest man, but I spruced up the picture a little. I just cropped it and played with the briteness. I think was a good picture just washed out. His eye got too bright but the rest looks good I think. It doesn't look too doctored does it?

Looks good IMO. I'll probably end up using that one. The format for the article requires that the pictures be about 2/3 the size they are on this forum, so I doubt anyone will be able to see the eye coloration. Nice work. :D

I still need more pics guys!!! I need more Juvie labiatus, and more young adult speciemns of both species!!!
