Figure somebody here might have an answer for me. Can't stress enough that this is purely hypothetical, *not* my present situation. But it could become it, and I'm exploring options.
Subject A lives somewhere where a reptile is legal to own but not to sell. One of said reptiles becomes gravid, lays eggs, and babies hatch. Would it be legal to transport the babies to a neighboring state where their sale is legal and sell them?
Would transporting them between states likely be illegal without a permit of some kind? Or is this all too subject-specific on the animal to tell?
Would it make a difference if the babies were brought across state lines as eggs and hatched in the state where their sale is legal?
Been batting these questions around in my head.
